Empowering Communities, One Connection at A Time
We are excited to present May Week 2026, a series of impactful programs designed to uplift, educate, and serve our community.
We begin on Monday, May 4 at 6:30 PM with Sister to Sister: Real Talk, Real Stories, Real Solutions for Fibroids, a virtual discussion featuring Dr. Mala Freeman-Kwaku, Gynecologist, focused on how fibroids affect Black women and what steps can be taken toward awareness and care.
On Tuesday, May 5, we celebrate Taco ’Bout a Tasty Tuesday by honoring Teacher Appreciation Week with lunch provided for the staff at Concord Middle School.
Join us on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 PM for our 2nd Annual Mind, Body & Soul Walk at Harrisburg Park in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. This event encourages participants to relax the mind, release tension from the body, and nourish the soul.
Our service continues on Friday, May 8 with Duffle Up for a Brighter Future, a collection drive for duffle bags to support children in the foster care system in honor of National Foster Care Month. Donations will benefit Cabarrus County DSS.
We are also hosting Cuddles for Courage, collecting stuffed animals during the Mind, Body & Soul Walk to bring comfort to children receiving care through the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Novant Health.
We invite the community to join us as we educate, serve, and strengthen connections all week long.
